Our Mission

The mission of the The Pedro Pallares Autism Foundation is to provide more support, more opportunities, and more hope to individuals with Autism, their families and the future professionals in this field of work .

Our goal is to partner with passionate individuals, organizations, and governments to bring creative, dynamic, and effective solutions that reshape the possibilities for individuals with Autism and the professionals that work with them.

The FPP is an organization that focuses on helping families affected by Autism who are facing challenges and need financial support, on raising funds for Autism Research, to encourage the pursuit of education and self improvement by awarding scholarships to extraordinary young leaders in the industry, increase community awareness in the Bay Area and across the world, to compile and disseminate the most up-to-date information regarding multi-disciplinary approaches for treating Autism. Our mission is to educate families, healthcare professionals, and the community about the characteristics and needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Our Vision

The Autism Society envisions individuals and families living with Autism to be able to maximize their quality of life, to be treated with the highest level of dignity, and to live in a society in which their talents and skills are appreciated and valued. All this, through receiving proper care with the right professionals.

FPP Mission Areas

The development of four areas as a means to implement the FPP’s Mission and Vision is proposed in the FPP’s new strategic plan. Those areas include:

Financial Support

    •     For families to cover costs associated with critical expenses related to the well-being of the family member with Autism on a case-by-case basis

    •     To provide support for families affected by Autism.

EDUCATION & Scholarships

    •    To students who demonstrate leadership, drive, and integrity with financial assistance to pursue higher education.

    •     For students from low-income families who need it most.

    •    Maintaining an authoritative body of Autism information and knowledge

    •    Supporting proactive community outreach and education


    •    Translating research results into applied practice in everyday lives

    •    Help fund research projects that include studies at the genetic, environmental and behavioral levels, in addition to clinical and translational studies. 

    •    Improve the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders by funding innovative research of the highest quality and relevance.             

    •    Identifying and promoting research that will improve the lives of people on the Autism spectrum and their families

Advocacy & SUPPORT

    •    Proactively informing, influencing, guiding and developing public policy at the federal, state and local levels in collaboration with the greater Autism community

    •    Advocating for multi-disciplined approaches to Autism treatment

    •    Advocating for inclusion, participation and self-determination in all aspects of life for individuals on the Autism spectrum and their families

    •    Encouraging and fostering a strong network that is an integral part of a larger community

    •    Creating local connections and collaboration between healthcare, technology, entertainment, and business industries
